Recently, Baolong Technology successfully secured a designated project for 3M surround-view cameras from a leading domestic automotive manufacturer, with a total lifecycle value of RMB 164 million. This achievement marks the company’s leading position in the intelligent driving vision field. The cameras for this project utilize an advanced Auto-Focus (AA) process, ensuring superior imaging performance and high reliability, while meeting the functional safety requirements of ASIL-B level. As a pioneer in laser process innovation, ULiLASER will be deeply involved in the optimization and upgrade of Baolong Technology’s AA process, providing core technical support for the high-precision manufacturing of surround-view cameras.

Key Challenges of the AA Process and ULiLASER’s Solutions

The Auto-Focus (AA) process is a core component in surround-view camera production, directly impacting imaging clarity, temperature drift characteristics, and long-term stability. As automotive cameras evolve towards higher performance and greater safety, the demands on the AA process for precision, efficiency, and consistency are becoming increasingly stringent.

Leveraging ULiLASER’s independently developed closed-loop temperature-controlled laser control system and years of laser application experience, we provide the following technical support to Baolong Technology:

High-Precision Welding: Enabling non-contact welding with rapid heating and cooling, and precise temperature control, all with a high degree of automation and intelligence.
